Brief:

NOMNOM, a restaurant location app designed to address the challenges of finding the perfect dining spot in Toronto. Traditional methods like using Google Maps can feel clunky and unreliable, with incorrect reviews and limited options to filter restaurants based on specific events or preferences like first dates, family dinners, or solo dining. NOMNOM aims to solve these issues by making restaurant searches easier, more enjoyable, and encouraging users to explore new cuisines.

The app primarily targets Gen Z and Millennials, who often dine out and are open to spending on unique dining experiences. To resonate with this audience, I chose a retro-inspired design featuring comic cartoon characters, creating a fun and energetic interface. The color palette includes a bright red as the primary tone, paired with a beige background to enhance contrast, readability, and accessibility.

The prototype has received positive feedback from both peers and professors, and I am excited about the potential to develop NOMNOM into a real product in the future.
